Hanson have branded Janet Devlin's version of their hit song 'MMMBop' on Saturday's (26.11.11) 'X Factor' as "p**s poor".
The Irish singer was booted off the ITV1 talent show after forgetting the words to the 90s hit and the group's drummer Zac Hanson admits he was far from impressed with her rendition.
He said: "She seemed really nervous and she did a pretty p**s-poor job of it. Not trying to be mean, I think she can sing but there's a certain groove to that song that comes from listening to doo-wop records and Motown records and that's the way you have to sing it, with that in mind.
"It sounded like she was singing it as straight as possible. It was like she didn't remember the song."
However, Zac admitted he wouldn't be against working alongside Janet in the future.
He told The-Fly.co.uk: "She has a good voice though so I wouldn't turn it down if she wanted to co-write a song."
After being given the axe, Janet claimed she was actually glad to have left the show as she felt it was turning her into a "karaoke" artist.
She said: "To me the sad thing about 'X Factor' is that it's brought me down a lot, I was just covering other people's songs and it got to the point that I just felt like a karaoke artist every Saturday night."
