From one band of brothers to another.
Isaac Hanson, the oldest in the band Hanson, is giving his two cents on the Kings Of Leon's recent tour troubles.
"I have a hard time with musicians who act like pr--ks because it just makes me mad," he told WENN.
"If you're actually making a living doing it [making music], pinch
yourself every day, because it goes if you don't love it and people will
eventually get pissed off. I'm going to call somebody out on it - the
Kings of Leon are running some risks. They're irritating people and you
can't do that too much. Eventually the bad boy image affects fans'
willingness to show up."
Earlier this month, the southern rock band canceled all of their U.S. tour dates following an incident in Dallas in which lead singer Caleb Followill walked off stage after only three songs.
The
band -- which consists of three brothers and their cousin -- cited
Caleb's "vocal issues and exhaustion," but sources close to Kings of
Leon told Us Weekly they had actually canceled in the hopes of getting Caleb to rehab.
Hanson, who gained fame alongside his brothers in 1996 with their song "MMMBop," believes the band should have stuck it out.
"Their
fans will get bummed out," added Hanson. "Everybody has their demons,
everyone has their challenges. I'm a bit of a hothead in certain
circumstances, but you've got to temper it because your fans are there
and they've paid good money to see a show, and you gotta bring it."
Hanson went on to compare the situation to another band of brothers, Oasis's Noel and Liam Gallagher.
"It
made it hard for people to have a lot of fun at their shows - because
they were worried that Noel [Gallagher] was going to get pissed off and
walk off," said the guitarist.
Kings of leon are set to resume their tour on Sept. 28 in Vancouver.
