If you happen to see Hanson and several hundred of their fans strolling through Stroudsburg, Pa. on Friday night, don't be alarmed.
It's for charity.
The pop-rock trio, best known for their 1997 radio hit "MMMBop," will hold a charity walk, starting at 3 p.m. Friday in front of the Sherman Theater, 524 Main St., Stroudsburg, Pa.
The group will walk a one-mile loop around town, pausing halfway through to discuss their "Take the Walk" campaign, according to a news release. For every registered walker, the band will donate $1 to one of five AIDS and poverty-related charities.
The walk will precede the band's Friday night concert at the theater. Tickets to the show cost $28.
The band released their album, "Shout It Out," in June.
